along with Jimmy Dewitt, former operators of ORANGEBURG Drag Strip won the ORANGEBURG Pro Modified Quick 8 race at ORANGEBURG Drag Strip on October 24,1999. Zane bested some of the quickest pro mods in the south. The "Blue For You" Camaro ran a consistent 4.25 @ 179 mph at the 1/8th mile track. Congratulations. This is just one of the many victories achieved by this car during it's illustrious service life, and is just one more example of the consistent quality and outstanding performance built into every car designed and built at TOOTEES.

CONGRATULATIONS TO ZANE DEWITT ON HIS BIG WIN AT THE SHADYSIDE QUICK 8 ON SUNDAY MAY 21, 2000. ZANE SLASHED THROUGH A FIELD THAT CONTAINED THE PREMIER PRO MOD RACERS OF THE SOUTHEAST, AND ONE FORMER WORLD CHAMPION, ON HIS WAY TO THE WINNERS CIRCLE. WAY TO GO ZANE!
This was Mr. Dewitt's 3rd car. "Blue For You" a name given to this car by TOOTEES out of respect for Mr. Dewitt's beloved son, Wayne, who was taken away along with Mr. Zane's heart in a tragic non racing related accident. The years have not dimmed the memory or softened the blow of this loss. This is our way of keeping his memory alive in the sport that he loved so well, and that he and his father enjoyed so many happy hours pursuing.
This
was his second car. The first in the BLUE
FOR YOU series
was
a mild steel bracket car.

Here is Wayne's car at ORANGEBURG. It was the first car constructed for Mr Dewitt, sadly it was sold and never raced by him due to Waynes untimely passing.
